Bar 1905

Enjoy a drink or bite to eat at Moor Hall Hotel in Bar 1905, named after the year the current Moor Hall was rebuilt by Colonel Edward Ansell. 

Moor Hall has a rich and colourful history dating back to the 16th century when Bishop Vesey lived here with his 140 servants and was often visited by Henry VIII. In the early 1900s, Colonel Edward Ansell demolished the old hall and erected the present building. All of the wood carvings and stone work were created on site and architects from all over the country came to admire the workmanship, which you can see today in the stained-glass windows, carved mantles over the fireplace and stonework.  

There's no booking required to dine in Bar 1905, just turn up and grab a table in the bar or on the terrace.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome on lawns.

We source our fresh bread from Gayton's, a local family run bakery with over 100 years of history. Sandwiches served on a bloomer doorstep (unless specified) with salad garnish and crisps.
