Moor Hall’s Charity of the Year for 2023

Alongside supporting many local causes and charities, every year at Moor Hall Hotel & Spa we nominate one local charity to raise funds for. This year we’ve chosen the excellent ‘Square Peg Activities’.

Based in Sutton Coldfield, North Birmingham, Square Peg Activities is a charity that aims to empower children and young people with disabilities to lead active, healthy and fulfilled lives. The charity was founded with the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to participate in physical activity and sports, regardless of their abilities.

They provide a range of inclusive spaces where disabled children and their families can spend much needed quality time together:

Sensory room
Forest garden
Large indoor play space
Sitting room
Changing area with full size bed and hoist
Gaming room

This charity is staffed by a team of wonderful professionals who are passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential.

Providing a safe space that offers a sense of structure, whilst maintaining in house activities is just one of the ways this company shines.
They regularly achieve this through:

Parent / Carer breakfasts
Monthly gaming club
Weekly after school club free play and Lego club
Weekly group for home educated / out of education with SEN children and their siblings
Coffee mornings

Square Peg Activities is a fantastic charity that is making a real difference within the community. Moor Hall are proud to show our support and help bring awareness to this wonderful team of people and their charity.
